This project integrates a 6.8-MWh dc coupled battery energy storage system with community solar generation, marking a milestone deployment within Ameren’s service area. The system design relies on DC clipping recapture - capturing extra solar power during the day and shifting it to peak demand periods, improving site performance and extending clean energy availability past sunset.
By pairing solar with storage, the project transforms intermittent generation into a more firm, dispatchable resource, strengthening grid reliability, improving solar utilization, and providing flexible capacity for when the system needs it most.
